This summer, Radix welcomed high school interns interested in engineering and software-based careers to better understand what awaits them in the working world after university. Kaushal Patel and Jack Yeung began working at Radix on July 2nd and have shadowed different levels and types of engineers and managers. They have also helped develop functional enhancements to an internal software tool used by Radix.

The goal of the internship is to provide the students experience in a professional work environment. Throughout their time at Radix, they will work in various departments within the company so that they can get a better understanding about the different career paths and industries.

“Throughout the program, we have tried our best to impart as much knowledge as possible about what the students can expect in their futures if they choose to go into engineering or software development as a degree and/or career path. The team has done an excellent job in keeping the students involved and engaged throughout the time the students have been here. On top of that, the students have done a great job in taking it all in and have also impressed everyone with their capabilities. I believe this program has been a great experience for everyone involved and we will likely do it again next year,” said Technical Manager, Justin Conroy.

At the end of the internship, students will present their experiences at the company.
