ARC Advisory Group recently sat down with Radix’ Program Manager, Justin Conroy to discuss Radix’ perspective and approach on helping customers jumpstart their digital transformation journey.

"I love attending the ARC Forum every year - it is a center for discussions about digital transformation, lessons learned, and how these can be applied to our customers. It was a pleasure to talk to ARC Advisory Group and Digital Transformation Expert Peter Reynolds this year about what industry trends we’re observing and our customer experiences," said Conroy.

In this interview, Justin commented that “in the last 2 or 3 years, we’ve seen the entire digital transformation spectrum of people and customers, from those doing nothing to the first step,  the proof of concept (POC) stage, to more fully embracing DT-- seeing the Return on Investment potential and starting to deploy these projects globally.

So what is Justin’s advice for companies that have not started their Digital Journey? “Don’t be afraid of failure. Fail fast and move forward. Look for the quick wins that will show Proof of Concept success, then build from there,” commented Justin. “We suggest defining a scope achievable of work, seeing what works and what doesn’t, and then applying the lessons learned to more projects.

"I think that another thing that I would say is as far as customers who have not started, you know: rely on the industry, rely on services provider, rely on consultants. If you don't necessarily know what you doing or don't have the expertise to move forward in Digital Transformation, there's a lot of companies out there, like Radix, there are lots of people out there who are willing to help you move forward", said Conroy.

Another thing to consider is the “Digital Twin” trend, as it applies to operations, maintenance, and supply chain. “What does it mean to you, and how can it positively impact your Process, Plant, and Equipment?,” said Justin.

A final discussion point is using Artificial Intelligence to transition information to a new generation of workers using the OSI Pi soft framework.
